A 34-year-old woman (OP) lives with her husband (37M) and daughter (7F). OP and her daughter recently went on a short trip out of state while her husband stayed home to work. He was supposed to look after their dog, Ellie.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
On the last day of their trip, OP and her daughter received a call from OP’s husband, who was acting distraught. He told them that their dog, Ellie, had run away and that he could not find her. He claimed that she had bolted away from him in the park into some bushes, and he had been unable to find her.
HERE COMES THE PROBLEM
Their dog, Ellie, was a relatively small mini poodle mix and almost 13 years old. She was still active, but running away from them was unlike her. OP was suspicious, but she chose to believe her husband. She and her daughter were grief-stricken but didn’t want to blame him.
